What is a Battery?

The batteries, also known as batteries or accumulators, are devices capable of storing energy, supplying it and being recharged several times during its useful life.

(Battery is normally called the device capable of storing energy for its subsequent supply, when it is not rechargeable)

The battery concept that we normally handle can be defined as "a device made up of several cells capable of storing electric energy for later use", and as a term it is applicable to any accumulator or set of several accumulators of electricity.
